In the Rafters is a site-specific installation at Wonderbound created by Theresa Clowes for the Biennial of the Americas. This installation that reflects the geographic characteristics of Junction Box, where Wonderbound resides. Using its urban draft of five intersections, an intricate lace pattern was designed to resemble traditional Victorian Lace. As Louis Kahn once said, “The nature of space reflects what it wants to be.” For a moment, a viewer slows down, observes, and contemplates the calming rhythm found in the breadth and depth of this piece as it floats across the metal rafters of Wonderbound’s new space.
